Engineering Ethics Seminar

 

Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, will be organizing a seminar titled "Engineering Ethics for Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculties."

The event will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 3:30 PM in the Nazım Hikmet Conference Hall of the Central Lecture Hall Building. The speaker will be Prof. Dr. Özgen KORKMAZ, Head of the Computer Engineering Department. The program will be moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Harun ÖZBAY, a faculty member of the Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty.

The seminar will address fundamental ethical principles of the engineering profession, professional responsibility, the role of ethical values ​​in decision-making processes, engineers' responsibilities to society and the environment, and academic and professional integrity. Offering valuable content for engineering students to develop the ability to make sound judgments in the face of ethical dilemmas they will encounter in their professional lives, the event aims to contribute to the academic and professional development of our students.
