OUR AVIATION AND SPACE SOCIETY STUDENTS ARE PREPARING TWO DIFFERENT ROCKETS FOR TEKNOFEST 2020, LOW AND MEDIUM ALTITUDE

Two teams prepared in two different categories to compete in Teknofest 2020 consist of Aviation and Space Community students. Within the scope of the rocket competition, in the Low Altitude (1500 meters) Rocket competition, Dr. Instructor In the "Nova Rocket Team", Medium Altitude (3000 meters) Rocket competition made by its member Onursal Çetin, his advisor was Dr. Instructor The "Supernova Rocket Team", made by its member Adem Dalcalı, will represent the university.

The teams, which started the project in September 2019 at the rocket workshop established in the central classroom of the University Central Campus and then continued their work from their homes for 2 weeks due to the epidemic, successfully passed the "Preliminary Design" phase of the competition. In the Low Altitude category, the “Nova Rocket Team” was among the 127 teams that passed the Preliminary Design Report stage, out of a total of 177 teams. In the Medium Altitude category, the “Supernova Rocket Team” became one of the 103 teams that passed the Preliminary Design Report stage among a total of 158 teams.
