The Department of Computer Engineering, part of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, was established in 2019 to provide theoretical and practical education in line with the fundamental principles of computer science and engineering. Following its establishment, the department admitted its first students in the same year. It continues its educational activities with a contemporary engineering approach and constantly enhances its research activities through its academic staff.

In our department, in addition to fundamental engineering concepts, undergraduate education is provided in areas such as software development processes, algorithms, data structures, computer networks and security, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum is supported by laboratory applications alongside theoretical courses. Students who successfully complete the four-year education program graduate with the title of Computer Engineer. For graduation, students are also required to complete a total of 40 working days of compulsory internship.

Currently, the department employs a total of 17 academic staff members, including 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 6 assistant professors, and 6 research assistants. All educational and research activities are conducted by this academic faculty.
