Accreditation Process Statement

ACCREDITATION PROCESS STATEMENT

Dear Students and Academic Staff,

As the Department of Computer Engineering, we have initiated the MÜDEK accreditation process in order to improve the quality of our education and to provide engineering education at national and international standards. This process is carried out to evaluate the compliance of the educational activities conducted in our department with the established quality criteria and to support continuous improvement efforts.

The purpose of this statement is to clearly present the role, responsibilities, and contributions of our students and academic staff in the accreditation process. The Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) defines program accreditation as the evaluation of whether a higher education program meets predetermined standards by an independent external evaluation body.

Within the scope of the criteria determined by MÜDEK; program educational objectives, program outcomes, curriculum, academic staff, infrastructure, resources, management structure, and continuous improvement processes are evaluated and developed. Therefore, accreditation is not only a process of obtaining a certificate; it is a planned and sustainable development process that adopts a culture of quality.

In this context, the active participation of our students and academic staff is of great importance. Surveys, feedback, course evaluations, and improvement suggestions will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of education in our department.
