Duties and Responsibilities of the Department Board

Regulation on Academic Organization in Universities, ARTICLE 15. The Department Board consists of all faculty members, lecturers, and instructors under the chairmanship of the head of department in departments with a single division; or of the vice heads of department and division heads in departments with multiple divisions. The board convenes at least once a month during the academic year to discuss the agenda items determined by the head of department. The Department Board provides opinions on planning education, teaching, practice, and research activities of the department and its affiliated divisions, and on preparing the necessary plans and cooperation principles for making the most effective use of equipment, materials, and physical facilities. The proposals prepared by the Department Board on these matters are implemented upon the approval of the head of department.
