General Information
Software Engineering is a department that aims to provide undergraduate education in theoretical and applied software engineering, focusing on fundamental engineering principles. Established in 2020, our department continuously improves its educational quality and research. It admitted its first students in 2020. Currently, the Software Engineering Department has a total of 14 faculty members, including 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 4 assistant professors, and 5 research assistants.
In addition to fundamental engineering concepts, our department provides education in software development processes, algorithms, data structures, computer networks and security, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Students who successfully complete the four-year program receive a Software Engineer degree. Theoretical courses are supported by laboratory applications. A total of 40 working days of internship is also mandatory for graduation.
Our graduates work in companies operating in fields such as software development, data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, information security, and network management. Our graduates, who are capable of working in any field requiring R&D activities, have job opportunities in both national and international companies. Our software engineering graduates find employment opportunities at prestigious organizations such as Google, Microsoft, IBM, Amazon, TÜBİTAK, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and others. They also have the opportunity to pursue academic careers at universities and research centers.
